In memory of the Holocaust
By Ricardo Sanchez-Serra *
Was recently commemorated the Day of the Holocaust, which recalls the Nazi genocide of six million European Jews between l939 and l945. Each year reaffirming the oath as mass: "Never Again". The Yad Vashem, or Holocaust Museum, located in Jerusalem, is a tribute to those six million Jews murdered by the Nazis. When touring the museum can not contain his tears when he saw shoes of Jewish children murdered by the Nazis, soaps made from human fat, straps. How a society, supposedly as civilized as the German could do so much barbarity? How can blind fanaticism both? How can we believe that there is a race superior to another in the middle of the twentieth century or even in this century? Also, there are other rooms in which lie the ashes of those who died in the ovens of Nazi concentration camps.
There is a room for each extermination camp, with the Star of David in the centre of which there is a flame votive. The main hall is the Hall of Remembranza, where a few days ago was commemorated the "Day of Remembranza Martyrs and Heroes of the Holocaust." I should mention that there is an unfair picture of Pope Eugenio Pacelli, Pius XII, who put it as the person responsible for the "silence" to denounce the Holocaust.
There are documents that distort historical sources that hypothesis. His administration saved many Jews in Rome and it should be remembered that the then Apostolic Nuncio in Turkey, Angelo Roncalli (later Pope John XXIII) saved many Jews who iban a Nazi concentration camp of giving safe Vatican. As the journalist Andrea Tornielli, author of the bestseller "Pius XII. The Pope of the Jews, "Pius XII not publicly denounced Hitler, then tried to save as many lives as possible. Thanks to its prudent attitude, the Church, the Nuncio, the Vatican managed to save, as has calculated the Jewish historian Pinchas stoning, some 850 thousand Jews from persecution and death.
Tornielli added that in his book "After many tears and many prayers - Pope said the chaplain reflecting news about the persecuted - I felt that my protest would have aroused the most ferocious anger against Jews and multiplied acts of cruelty, They are helpless. Perhaps my protest I would have brought praise from the civilian world, but it would have caused the poor Jews even more relentless persecution of the already suffering. " I visited the museum has been enlarged and modernized. There is also a library, an art museum, a research center and a school for international studies on the Holocaust.
Also, there is a monument to children, "the valley of the communities" and a forest whose trees contains the names of non-Jews who risked and sacrificed to save Jews during World War II. And to think that there are still people who deny the existence of the Holocaust, for them there are no survivors, the acquis documentary. Also, testimonies, films and photographs, etc..
Clearly seeking his denial and then destroy the State of Israel.

In memoria dell'Olocausto
